Hunza valley is the last district of Gilgit-Baltistan and is located in the far north of Pakistan. Hunza Valley touches borders with China to the north and Afghanistan to the northwest. The primary border crossing to China is Khunjerab National Park and the Wakhan Corridor to Afghanistan.

Central Hunza has the main forts, which are the Altit and Baltit forts. Apart from these forts, you can get a panoramic view of the entire oasis from the highest point called Duiker. Furthermore, the bazars in central Hunza offer handicrafts and local dishes.

The upper part of Hunza, called the Gojal valley holds the natural beauty of the entire region. The trekking options are all located in the upper Hunza. More details in (add the link here). The main attractions in the central Upper Hunza are Attabad lake, Baskochi trekking, Patundas trekking, Attabad Lake, Borith Lake, Hussain Suspension Bridge, and the view of many Glacier crossings.

The last region, called the Upper Gojal or Gojal _II, holds the Khunjerab National Park and the Pakistan – China border. Also, this is the region that has a border with Afghanistan at the Chipursan valley.

Public transportation like shared buses or vans charges PKR 6000 to PKR 8000 for on side travel. Whereas, private car booking cost ranges from PKR 40000 to PKR 45000 one side from Islamabad to Hunza valley.
