Itinerary - Batura Glacier and Hunza Valley Tour

Day 01 to Day 03: Hunza Valley Exploration

Begin your Batura Glacier and Hunza Valley Tour from Islamabad. Journey past Naran, Kaghan, and Babusar Pass to reach Gilgit. At Jaglot, marvel at the wonders of nature, where the three great mountain ranges, the Karakoram, Himalayas, and Hindu Kush, meet. Continue your journey ahead and explore verdant meadows along the way.

Venture into Hunza’s rich cultural legacy at Ganish, the region’s first settlement. Situated along the banks of the Hunza River, this small hamlet showcases hundreds of years-old houses, mosques, and fortresses. As you drive further to Gojal, learn about the ancient Silk Road at Hildikish Sacred Rocks. The carved rocks found here highlight the Silk Road adventures. Explore beautiful valleys that include Gulmit, the district headquarters of Gojal, Shishket, and Ghulkin - the first eco-friendly village in Pakistan. Find your peace at Borith Lake and Passu Glacier. Experience firsthand crossing the Hussaini Suspension Bridge and Passu Suspension Bridge. Return to your local guesthouse every evening and enjoy evening tranquility.

Day 04 to Day 08: Batura Valley Retreat

Experience firsthand crossing the 7th-longest non-polar glacier in the world. Your journey begins from the outskirts of Passu village. The first section of the journey encompasses a steep ascent. Hike the steep slope to get a glimpse of the Batura Glacier. The meandering trails will lead you to Hussaini Batura. The trek onward will offer countless moments of amazement as the scenery of the Batura Muztagh unfolds before you.

Trek on the Batura Glacier for an hour, crossing deadly crevasses. It's highly recommended to be very careful while walking on the glacier; a single wrong step can lead to severe injury. As you reach the other side of the ice bed, witness the lush green landscape of Yeshperth, which also offers the best view of Batura Walls. Enjoy warm hospitality from the locals of Passu who round their animals in the nearby Batura pastures.

Immerse yourself in complete tranquility at Batura. Roam the never-ending meadows. Explore Fitmahail, Lup Zur Zuy, Yuksh Goze, and enjoy striking views of the Passu Sar, Shishper, and the Batura Walls.

After 4-days of exploration, journey back to Batura Hussaini, crossing the glacier one more time. As you descend to Passu, our driver will pick you up and drive you to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure, while recovering from the long trek.

Day 09: Fly back home

Begin the return journey. Drive to Gilgit, then Chilas, and continue onward to Naran Valley. End your Batura Glacier and Hunza Valley Tour upon arrival in Islamabad. Retire for the day or continue exploring the twin city.
