Patundas Trek Hunza lies in the Upper Hunza region, known as Gojal and is one of the most beautiful and short treks in the region. You will get a chance to explore the Passu Glacier on one side and the mighty Batura Glacier on the other. During the Patundas Trek in Hunza, you will witness majestic peaks like Shisper (7619 m), Batura Peak (7885 m), and more.

The Trek to Patundas Meadow lasts 3 days. You will experience Glacier crossing, which is a bit tricky. However, local expert guides will help you do it smoothly. Patundas Trek is divided into two main stages. The first campsite is Luzdur, which is reached by crossing the Passu Glacier. The second is the Patundas Meadow campsite, which can be reached by a 3-to-4-hour steep trek. The entire distance of this trek is around 29 km.

In this journey to the Patundas meadows, you will experience.

The trek begins near the famous Borith Lake, which is 40 km away from central Hunza or Karimabad Village. The drive takes about 40-50 minutes from central Hunza to reach the starting point of the Patundas Trek

Day 1: Patundas Meadow Trek, Borith Zero Point to Luzdur Base Camp

  • Trek Distance: 6–7 km
  • Trek Duration: Approximately 2–3 hours
  • Starting Point: Borith Zero Point (Upper Hunza, Gojal)
  • End Point: Luzdur Base Camp
  • Trek Difficulty: Moderate — includes glacier crossing.

The Patundas Trek Hunza begins from Borith Zero Point in the scenic Gojal region of Upper Hunza. Guests will be transferred from their hotel to Borith Valley. The first segment is crossing a glacier. It might seem tough, but you won't need any special skills or gear. The trail leads to Luzdur, the first base camp, with spectacular views along the way.

Day 2: Luzdur to Patundas Base Camp

  • Trek Distance: 6–7 km
  • Trek Duration: Approximately 2 hours
  • Starting Point: Luzdur Base Camp
  • Destination: Patundas Base Camp
  • Altitude: ~4,300 meters above sea level
  • Trek Difficulty: Easy to moderate — initially steep ascent.

The second day of the Patundas trek in Hunza starts at Luzdur. It features a short, steep climb to the Patundas Meadow, a grassy plateau at high altitude. When you get to the top, you’ll enjoy stunning views. The Batura Glacier is on one side, and the Passu Glacier is on the other. This spot offers one of the most breathtaking alpine views in the Hunza region.

Day 3: Return from Patundas

After taking in the views and snapping great photos at the Patundas meadow, the group will head back to the Borith village. The last day of the Patundas trek Hunza also includes the glacier crossing while heading back to the hotel.
