Itinerary - Hunza Blossom Festival Tour
Day 01 - Enjoy a Scenic Flight to Gilgit City.
On the first day of the Hunza Blossom Festival, board a scenic flight from Islamabad and witness aerial views of the snow-capped peaks of the Karakoram, Himalayas, and Hindukush mountains. Upon arrival, meet our guide at the airport and take a scenic drive on the Karakoram Highway to Hunza Valley. Witness beautiful spring orchards with a sea of pink and white apple, cherry, and apricot blossoms at Danyor, Sultanabad, and Nagar Valley.
Upon arrival at Hunza Valley, take a beautiful walk from the Baltit Fort Chowk to the fort and enjoy a panoramic spring view of the entire vicinity. Witness the entire Hunza and Nagar Valley blanketed with white and pink flower petals. Hike back and drive to Altit Fort and enjoy a meaningful evening at Altit Royal Garden surrounded by beautiful spring flowers. Spend the night at Eagles Nest at Duiker.
Day 02 -Participate in the Blossom Festival in Gulmit Village.
Wake up early in the morning and enjoy a warm cup of tea on the balcony of Eagles Nest with mesmerizing views of Hunza Valley below. Get ready and drive towards Upper Hunza - Gojal Valley to participate in the Spring Festival of Hunza at Gulmit Village. Stop at the famous Sacred Rocks of Hunza alongside the Karakoram Highway. Drive further and stop at Attabad Lake after crossing the tunnel. Cross Shishket village before arriving at Gulmit.
Upon arrival, start enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of the spring festival at Gulmit. Participate in the local dance, interact with the local community, and explore the stalls of the local vendors selling handicrafts, dried fruits, and local dishes prepared specially for the day. Spend a full day enjoying the festival and exploring Gulmit village before retreating back to the hotel.
Day 03 - Hunza Blossom Festival Tour - Second Day.
Take part in the Hunza Blossom Festival Tour for the second day. Beneath the century-old apricot trees at Mir Bogh Gulmit, dance to the rhymes of local music, take beautiful pictures with the pink and white petals of apricot and peach trees. Meet the elders of Gulmit and engage with storytelling and learn the history of the region. Search for local handmade home appliances and gifts at the stalls. Spend another day in Gulmit experiencing the local culture during the spring festival.
Day 04 - Explore the rest of Gojal Valley.
After experiencing the festival for two days, begin the exploration of the rest of Gojal Valley. Travel to Ghulkin village, known as the first ever eco-friendly village in Hunza. Explore beautiful spring colors and visit the old house of the village, also called Pup Khoon. Drive back to Hussaini village and experience adventure at Hussaini Suspension Bridge.
Drive to Borith and spend quality time near the peaceful settings of Borith Lake. Hike to Upper Borith, where the beautiful apricot, cherry, and peach palettes fill the atmosphere with vibrant spring hues. Drive to Passu village, which is famous for its varieties of apple trees. Take pictures with the awe-inspiring spring colors against the backdrop of Passu Cones. Spend the rest of the day at Passu before returning to the hotel for the night's stay.
Day 05 - Drive to Gilgit and fly back to Islamabad.
Wake up early in the morning and drive to Gilgit City. Along the Karakoram Highway, enjoy one last view of valleys filled with white and pink spring colors. Pass through the beautiful orchards of Nagar Valley and enjoy an early morning view of the snow-capped peak of Rakaposhi. Upon arrival at the airport, bid farewell to our driver and guide and board the flight to Islamabad. As the plane takes off, marvel at the towering Himalayas, Karakoram, and Hindu Kush peaks.
