Itinerary - Azad Kashmir Tour Package

Day 01: Azad Kashmir Tour - Islamabad | Muzaffarabad | Keran

  • Begin your journey from Islamabad; drive via the Hazara Motorway N-75 to reach Burban. Cover the 134 km to reach Muzaffarabad.
  • Explore the Red Fort of Muzaffarabad, a historical remnant from the 15th century. The construction of the fort was started by the Chak Dynasty and completed by Sultan Muzaffar Khan, a local ruler and founder of Muzaffarabad, in 1656.
  • Continue the journey to Dhanni Waterfall, the picture-perfect and charming tourist destination in the Nasirabad district of the Neelum Valley. The waterfall is located 38 km from Muzaffarabad.
  • Driving alongside the Neelum River, observe the lush green alpine meadows and dense pine forest. Explore the Kuttun Waterfall, also known as the Kundal Waterfall.
  • Enjoy the beautiful evening in the pristine environment of Azad Kashmir. Retire for the day and enjoy an overnight stay at a local guest house.

Day 02: Departure from Keran to Sharda, Kel, and Arang Kel

  • Begin your day of the Azad Kashmir tour by exploring the Sharda Peeth, also referred to as the Sharda University. For centuries the university has served as a learning and mystical center for the Hindu and Buddhist communities.
  • Following the Neelum River, you will explore enchanting villages and small hamlets such as the Kharigam village.
  • While traveling towards Kel, stop at the Ibrahim Miliy Waterfall. Here you will also experience the famous Doli ride to reach Arang Kel.
  • Enjoy a 40-minute trek, discovering beautiful valleys against the backdrop of dense pine forests to reach Arang Kel.
  • Spend the night at Arang Kel amidst the untapped scenery of the region.

Day 03: Travel to Taobat from Arang Kel

  • Unfold the day with an off-road journey towards Taobat, the last settlement of Neelum Valley. Alongside the Neelum River, the dirt road passes through lush green forests and small villages.
  • Stop at the Chal Pani Waterfall as you proceed further. Visit Jamgar, Jandar Seri, Janwai, and Nikron villages before arriving at Taobat.
  • Discover the immersive Jamgarh Waterfall in the vicinity of Taobat and Halmat.
  • Explore Halmat Valley, a scenic village alongside the Neelum River that provides you with the best view of the surrounding mountains. Here you can enjoy a rafting adventure in the river.
  • Overnight stay at Taobat Resort.

Day 04: Return to Muzaffarabad from Taobat

  • Begin your journey from Taobat towards Muzaffarabad. Stop at Chal Pani Waterfall, Dhanni Waterfall, and Kuttan waterfall/Kundal Shani.
  • Arrival at Muzaffarabad after sightseeing at Kel, Sharda, and Keran. Enjoy the evening at Muzaffarabad.
  • Overnight stay in Muzaffarabad, Azad Kashmir.

Day 05: Conclude your Azad Kashmir Tour Package as you return to Islamabad.

  • Alongside the Burban Road, return to Islamabad.
