Itinerary - Pakistan Wildlife Tour

Islamabad arrival.

Upon arrival in Pakistan, meet our professional and local guide from Gilgit-Baltistan. Transfer to the hotel and enjoy leisure time exploring the city of Islamabad.

Fly to Gilgit and Drive to Hunza Valley.

Board a scenic morning flight to Gilgit. Enjoy a beautiful aerial scenery of the snow-capped mountains of northern Pakistan. Upon arrival at the airport, our driver will be waiting to receive you. Begin the journey towards Hunza Valley, where a conservation effort by the local community has made it possible to witness these beautiful and rare species. As you enter Hunza Valley, enjoy the first sights of many species of ducks at Attabad Lake.

After taking a delicious meal, continue the journey towards Ghulkin village. Upon arrival, search for herds of ibexes usually seen at the outskirts of the village. Continue the journey towards Borith village, where the Borith Lake serves as home of many migratory birds. End the day with a short hike to Passu Glacier, where you can see the beautiful white ice bed, where a lot of ibexes are seen drinking water from the glacier streams.

Drive to Khyber village and Khunjerab National Park.

Early morning departure for Khyber village. The village is considered home to Himalayan ibexes and snow leopards. Our guide and the local conservation team from the village will help you spot these animals roaming near the village. After filming the wildlife at Khyber, proceed towards Khunjerab National Park. Khunjerab also serves as home to many of these species. Upon arrival, search for ibexes and snow leopards. On a lucky day, you can also spot the Himalayan gray wolf. After a full day of observation, drive back to the hotel.

Drive to Skardu Valley.

For further exploration and wildlife observation, drive towards Skardu Valley. After approximately 5 hours on the road, arrive in Skardu and prepare your gears for the next morning adventure.

Spot wildlife in Skardu Valley.

Drive to Shigar or Hushe Valley to witness the beautiful Baltistan Ibex and snow leopard. Meet the local conservation team, who will guide you to the area where the ibexes and snow leopards are usually seen. Grab your binoculars or spotting scope and start searching for these beautiful animals. Take pictures and film documentaries capturing the wildlife in their natural habitat. Spend a full day in the wilderness searching for these fascinating animals of Pakistan before heading back to the hotel.

Fly back to Islamabad.

After a week full of observing Pakistan’s remarkable wildlife, board the flight back to Islamabad. Transfer to the hotel and cherish all the memories you made during the Pakistan Wildlife Tour.
