  • Fairy Meadows and Nanga Parbat base camp, located in Chilas Valley of Gilgit-Baltistan.

To let you know, trekking to these base camps does not require any special skills or equipment. On average, you will cover 8 to 12 km each day, with hiking time ranging from 3 to 6 hours.

In addition, with trekking, this tour also offers a trip to Hunza Valley as well. Please note that for such a tour and trekking trip to the north of Pakistan, we recommend a one-way trip by air for a comfortable journey.

Detailed Itinerary - Fairy Meadows, Rakaposhi Basecamp, Hunza Valley and Patundas Trek and Tour

Day 01: Drive to Raikot via Naran Valley.

Visit the following location along the way.

  1. Shogran valley.
  2. Balakot.
  3. Kaghan and Naran Valley.
  4. Lulusar Lake.
  5. Babusar top.

Day 02: Jeep ride from Raikot and Trek to Fairy Meadows.

  1. Jeep ride from Raikot Bridge to Tattu (the jeep stop near Fairy Meadows).
  2. Hike from Tattu to Fairy Meadows.
    • Jeep ride: 45 to 1 hour Jeep ride from Raikot Bridge to reach Tattu.
    • Hiking Time: 2 to 3 hours maximum.
    • Hiking Distance: Approximately 6-8 km.
    • Trek Difficulty: Moderate.

Day 03: Trek for Fairy Meadows to Nanga Parbat basecamp.

  1. Trek from Fairy Meadows to Beyal camp then to Nanga Parbat basecamp.
    • Hiking Time: 4 hours maximum one side.
    • Hiking Distance: Approximately 15 km.
    • Trek Difficulty: Moderate.
    • Night stay: Trek back to Fairy Meadows and night stay in wooden huts.

Day 04: Trek back to Tattu, Drive to Minapin valley.

  1. Hike back to Tattu jeep point.
  2. Jeep ride to Raikot Bridge.
  3. Gilgit City.
  4. Nagar valley and Rakaposhi View Point.
    • Travel Distance: Approximately 139 km from Raikot to Minapin valley.
    • Drive time: Approximately 3-hour drive.

Day 05: Trek to Hapakun.

  1. First day trekking to Hapakun, the first camp site for Rakaposhi base camp.
    • Hiking Time: 3 hours maximum.
    • Hiking Distance: Approximately 6 km.
    • Trek Difficulty: Moderate.
    • Night stay: Trek back to Fairy Meadows and Night stay.

Day 06: Trek to Rakaposhi base camp.

  1. Trek to Rakaposhi base camp on the second day.
    • Hiking Time: 3 hours maximum one side.
    • Hiking Distance: Approximately 7 to 8 km.
    • Trek Difficulty: Moderate.
    • Night stay: Trek back to Hapakun for the night stay in camps.

Day 07: Drive to Hunza valley.

  1. Trek back to Minapin village.
  2. Drive to Hunza valley.
    • Travel Distance: Approximately 31 km from Minapin valley to Hunza valley.
    • Drive time: Approximately 40-minute drive.

Day 08: Hunza village tour, including Altit and Karimabad.

Visit the following places in Hunza valley.

  1. Altit and Baltit Forts.
  2. Hunza Food Pavilion for local cuisine.
  3. Karimabad and Altit Bazar for handicraft and other local made products.
  4. Eagles Nest and Duiker for sunset.

Day 09: Patundas Trekking Day.

  1. Drive to Borith village to start Patundas trekking.
  2. Trek to Luzdur, first camp site of Patundas Trekking.
    • Hiking Time: 4 hours maximum one side.
    • Hiking Distance: Approximately 7-8 km.
    • Trek Difficulty: Moderate with Glacier crossing a bit technical.
    • Gears Required: No gears or any technical skills required
    • Night stay: In camps.

Day 10: Luzdur to Patundas top trekking.

  1. Trek to Patundas top from Luzdur camp site.
    • Hiking Time: 2 hours maximum one side.
    • Hiking Distance: Approximately 6 km.
    • Trek Difficulty: Easy.
    • Gears Required: No gears or any technical skills required
    • Night stay: In camps.

Day 11: Trek back to Luzdur and back to Borith village.

  1. Trek back to Luzdur.
  2. Continue trekking towards Borith village.
  3. Cross Passu glacier to reach Borith village.
  4. Transfer to Hotels.

Day 12: Visit other villages in Gojal valley.

Explore the following location in Gojal valley.

  • Gulmit, Gulmit Carpet Center and Ondra Poyga.
  • Trek to Baskochi Meadow.
  • Hussaini Suspension Bridge and zipline.
  • Borith Lake.

Day 13: Pakistan – China Border, the Khunjerab National Park.

  1. Drive towards Khunjerab National Park.
  2. Himalayan ibex and Marmots spotting at the park.
    • Travel Distance: Approximately 95 km from Gulmit village to Khunjerab top.
    • Drive time: Approximately 3.5 hour drive one side.

Day 14 and Day 15: Drive back to Naran and Islamabad.

  • Drive back to Naran valley.
  • Arrival in Islamabad the following day.
