Brief Itinerary - Qarun Pass Trek

  • Day 01 | Islamabad: Our guides will meet the trekkers at Islamabad airport. After hotel transfer and evening meal, our guests will explore the capital of Pakistan. A visit will be arranged to the Pakistan Monument, Lok Virsa, Saed Pur village, and Faisal Mosque.
  • Day 02: Scenic Flight to Gilgit: The participants will take a scenic flight to Gilgit, enjoying aerial views of towering peaks of northern Pakistan. Our guide will welcome the participants at Gilgit Airport, and the group will depart for Hunza Valley.
  • Day 03 | Hunza to Moorkhun and Avgerch: The guided trek to Qarun Pass will begin on the 3rd day. Participants will follow the footsteps of a famous British officer Schomberg, who did the Qarun Pass Trek to reach Shimshal Valley in 1935.
  • Day 04 | Trek to Boiber: On this day, participants will start trekking from Avgerch, a small summer settlement and grazing land. Our guests will get an opportunity to interact with local shepherds. Trekkers will navigate through glacial streams, shepherds herds, pastures filled with wild flowers to reach Boiber.
  • Day 05 | Boiber to Maidun: On this day, the group advances deeper into the valley. Another significant milestone is accomplished as you arrive at the Maidun campsite, marking steady progress in the journey.
  • Day 06: Qarun Pass crossing: On the sixth day of the trek, the group will finally arrive at the high-altitude Qarun Pass. Participants will be rewarded with an opportunity to witness the majestic Distaghil Sar (7,885 meters), 7th-highest peak in Pakistan.
  • Day 07 | Drive back to Hunza: After trekking deep in the Karakoram, the group will finally head back to Hunza Valley from Dut, the last campsite of the Qarun Pass Trek.
  • Day 08: Hunza Valley: On this day, participants will take advantage of the extra day to relax and recover from the fatigue of the trek. Utilizing the contingency day, our guests will explore Hunza Valley and its surroundings.
  • Day 09 |Fly back to Islamabad: The group will depart for Islamabad. The flight will fascinate our guests one more time with mesmerizing views of Gilgit mountains.
  • Day 10 |Fly back home: The Qarun Pass Trek team will bid farewell to our guest.

Refund Policy :The refund will be processed based on the time of cancellation and services already acquired. A certain amount will be deducted from the payment such as non-refundable amount paid to third parties or amount used in acquisition of trek permits. Read more details at refund policy.

Money Transfer & Accepted Currencies: All international travelers can pay the amount in the following currencies,

Payments can be done via banks or via licensed and secure payment methods. Payments are also accepted via credit and debit cards.

Initial Deposit, Book Now and Pay Later: To confirm the booking an initial deposit is required which is 20 - 25 % of the tour / trek price. The remaining payment can be paid closer to the trek dates or upon arrival in Pakistan.

Required Documents: Participants must carry valid identification such as a CNIC or passport during the trek. Any required permits or visas are the responsibility of the participant.

Participants are required to hold valid identification documents such as:

  3. Visa.

The company will provide invitation letters and other required documents for visa processing.
