Itinerary - Chapursan Valley Tour

Day 01 | Fly to Gilgit and drive to Gulmit, Gojal Hunza.

  • Board a scenic flight to Gilgit.
  • Enjoy aerial views of Nanga Parbat.

  • Begin the scenic drive along the Karakoram Highway, heading towards the Hunza Valley.
  • Navigate through Nagar Valley.
  • Upon arrival in Hunza, savour a delicious evening meal.
  • Continue the journey further towards Gulmit village.
  • Spend the night in Gulmit village.

Day 02 | Continue the Journey towards Chapursan Valley.

  • Set off for the Chapursan Valley Tour.
  • Alongside the Karakoram Highway, pass through beautiful Hunza villages.
  • Navigate through Hussaini, Passu, Khyber, and Sost villages.
  • After crossing Sost village, shift from the Karakoram Highway to the bumpy road of Chapursan.
  • After an hour of driving, enter the first village of the region, called Yarzirich.
  • Pass through Kirmin, Kil, and Reshit to reach Sheresubz, where you can spend the night.
  • Upon arrival, interact with the local Wakhi community.
  • Spend the first night in Chapursan, enjoying the raw beauty of the surroundings.

Day 03 | Chapursan Valley Tour - Visit Baba Ghundi Ziarat.

  • Wake up early in the morning and experience a genuine mountain retreat.
  • After breakfast, continue the journey to Baba Ghundi Ziarat. A shrine of a Tajik saint.
  • Continue the journey passing through more villages, including Ispenj, Kumpir Diyor, Shetmerg, and Zood Khoon.
  • After crossing Zood Khoon, enjoy quality time at Yeshkuk. A lowland pasture.
  • Witness the local community herding their animals.
  • Take photos of horses roaming free in the meadows.
  • Interact with the local resilient shepherds.
  • Continue the journey towards the famous shrine.
  • Upon arrival, visit the shrine of Baba Ghundi.
  • Interact with the local people.
  • Drive back to Sheresabz for the night’s stay.

Day 04 | Drive back to Lower Hunza.

  • After spending quality time at Chipurson Valley, continue the return journey to lower Hunza.
  • Following the same bumpy road, drive towards Sost.
  • Take the evening lunch at Sost bazar.
  • Continue the journey towards Gulmit village.
  • Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and enjoy a beautiful night’s stay at Gulmit.

Day 05 | Explore Gojal Valley.

  • Taking advantage of the day, explore the Gojal Valley.
  • Enjoy an early morning hike to Ondra Poyga.
  • Drive to Hussaini Suspension Bridge and experience crossing the most dangerous bridge.
  • To beat the heat, enjoy a refreshing swim at Borith Lake.
  • From Borith Lake, drive to the zero point and hike to the Passu White Glacier.
  • Drive to Attabad Lake and hike to Baskochi Meadows.
  • Drive back to Gulmit to spend the night.

Day 06 | Fly back home.

  • Departure for Gilgit Airport early in the morning.
  • Along the Karakoram Highway, drive towards Gilgit.
  • Board an evening flight for Islamabad.
  • Enjoy the scenic flight one more time.
