Itinerary - Chapursan Valley Tour

Day 01 | Fly to Gilgit and drive to Gulmit, Gojal, Hunza

  • Board a scenic flight to Gilgit.
  • Enjoy aerial views of Nanga Parbat.
  • Meet our guide at the airport.
  • Begin the scenic drive to Hunza Valley along the Karakoram Highway.
  • Experience the uncommon scenery at Nagar Valley.
  • Encounter spectacular views of Rakaposhi as you cross Ghulmet in Nagar.
  • Upon arrival in Hunza, savor a delicious evening meal.
  • Spend the night in Gulmit village.

Day 02 | Continue the Journey towards Chapursan Valley

  • Set off for the Chapursan Valley Tour.
  • Alongside the Karakoram Highway, pass through beautiful Hunza villages.
  • Journey past Hussaini, Passu, Khyber, and Sost villages.
  • Leave the Karakoram Highway at Sost and continue ahead on the bumpy Chapursan Road.
  • After an hour, reach the first village of Chapursan, called Yarzirich in the local language.
  • Pass through Kirmin, Kil, and Reshit to reach Sheresubz, where you will spend the night.
  • Upon arrival, interact with the Wakhi community as they warmly welcome you to their village.
  • Spend the first night in Chapursan and enjoy a tranquil evening deep in the Karakoram Mountains.

Day 03 | Chapursan Valley Tour - Visit Baba Ghundi Ziarat

  • Wake up early to experience the crisp mountain air.
  • After breakfast, continue the journey to Baba Ghundi Ziarat, a shrine of a Tajik saint.
  • Discover verdant hamlets of Chapursan, including Ispenj, Kumpir Diyor, Shetmerg, and Zood Khoon.
  • Marvel at the verdant meadows of Yeshkuk, a lowland pasture where locals graze their horses in the summer months.
  • Witness the local community herding their animals.
  • Take photos of horses roaming free in the meadows.
  • Interact with the local resilient shepherds.
  • Continue the journey towards the famous shrine.
  • Upon arrival, visit Baba Ghundi’s famous shrine.
  • Interact with the local people.
  • Drive back to Sheresabz for the night stay.

Day 04 | Drive back to Lower Hunza

  • As you conclude your Chapursan Valley Tour, journey back to Gulmit.
  • Drive back to Sost, where you will have your evening meal.
  • Continue your journey towards Gulmit village.
  • Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and enjoy a cozy night in Gulmit.

Day 05 | Explore Gojal Valley

  • Taking advantage of the day, explore Gojal Valley.
  • Enjoy an early morning hike to Ondra Poyga, the longest staircase in Pakistan.
  • Drive to Hussaini Suspension Bridge and experience a thrilling bridge-crossing adventure.
  • To beat the heat, enjoy a refreshing swim at Borith Lake.
  • From Borith Lake, drive to the zero point and hike to the 20 km long Passu White Glacier.
  • Drive to Attabad Lake and hike to Baskochi Meadows.
  • Drive back to Gulmit to spend the night.

Day 06 | Fly back home

  • Depart for Gilgit Airport early in the morning.
  • Board an evening flight for Islamabad.
  • As the plane takes off, watch the towering peaks of Gilgit-Baltistan.
