The Barah Broq Trek is an awe-inspiring off-the-beaten-path journey in Skardu Valley. This trek is a balanced combination of culture immersion and a nature exploration. Also known as the K2 View Point Trek, the trail offers a mesmerizing view of the world’s second-highest mountain. Apart from K2, the journey allows you to witness many mountains above 7000 meters: Nanga Parbat, Broad Peak, Spantik, Mashabrum, Ghashabrum, K6, and K7.

Itinerary - Barah Broq Trek

  • Day 01 | Meet and Greet in Islamabad: Welcome to Pakistan! Meet our team at the airport, and enjoy a leisurely day in Islamabad, exploring the city.
  • Day 02 | Skardu - Gilgit-Baltistan: After arriving in Skardu, set out on a memorable drive through beautiful sceneries and vibrant towns to explore Lakes, alpine setting villages, and century-old forts.
  • Day 03 | Head towards Barah Valley in a 4x4 Prado: Proceed towards Barah Valley, where the epic trek begins. Navigate through small hamlets in Baltistan following the famous Indus River. For a more productive day, shift to Manthoka road at the confluence of the Indus and Shyok River to visit Manthoka Waterfall.
  • Day 04 | Trek to Camp 1 - the Summer Pasture: The first section of the trek is not very demanding. Along the way, you will find plenty of oak trees providing shades from the summer heat. After completing the first section, find yourself amidst a garden of green and verdant fields. Savor a delicious meal waiting for you and stroll around watching for wildflowers, clicking photos, and listening to stories of the shepherds.
  • Day 05 | Continue trekking towards the Blue Lake - Teardrop Lake: After breakfast, make sure to start the trek early in the morning to avoid the summers heat. The second section of the trek eventually gains elevation with no head covers from the intense heat. The landscape shifts dramatically from dense forest to boulder fields with patches of grass before arriving at another summer pasture.

    Rest for a while enjoying tea, fresh yogurt, and butter offered by the shepherds. Continue the journey onward to the blue lake. Enjoy the rest of the day near the lake as the night falls, while our team prepares dinner for the group.
  • Day 06 | Early Morning Departure for Moses Peak Climb - The K2 viewpoint: Wake up early in the morning to climb the Moses Peak, also referred to as the K2 vantage point. The last section of the trek is an ascent through steep boulder fields but requires no technical skills. The participants are recommended to remain vigilant from falling rocks.

    Upon arrival at the summit after 4 to 5 hours of strenuous trek, mesmerize yourself with stunning vistas and panoramic views of 7000 and 8000-meter peaks, including the K2, Broad Peak, and Gasherbrum peaks. As you complete the epic trek to the vantage point, head back to basecamp near the blue lake or continue the journey to spend the night at the summer pastures.
  • Day 07 | Return to Barah village and drive to Skardu: Complete the last section of the trek, returning to Barah valley following the same trail. Upon arrival, enjoy a delicious meal and drive to Skardu Valley. Check in at the hotel and enjoy a free day recovering from the fatigue of the trek.
  • Day 08 | Enjoy a free day exploring the Town: Enjoy a free day in leisure or maximize the holiday’s experience. set out to explore the town, visiting the market and tourist destinations.
  • Day 09 | Fly back to the Capital: As the Barah Broq Trek comes to an end, bid farewell to the mountains and return to the capital.
  • Day 10 | Board a flight back home: Board a flight back home, cherishing all the beautiful memories you made from the Barah Broq Trek.

Refund Policy :The refund will be processed based on the time of cancellation and services already acquired. A certain amount will be deducted from the payment such as non-refundable amount paid to third parties or amount used in acquisition of trek permits. Read more details at refund policy.

Payments can be done via banks or via licensed and secure payment methods. Payments are also accepted via credit and debit cards.

Initial Deposit, Book Now and Pay Later: To confirm the booking an initial deposit is required which is 20 - 25 % of the tour / trek price. The remaining payment can be paid closer to the trek dates or upon arrival in Pakistan.
