Itinerary - Chunda Valley Tour

Morning:

• Begin your Chunda Valley Tour in Skardu. Enjoy a Balti breakfast at the hotel, then drive towards Gamba Valley. Drift right and begin the off-road journey as you cross the CMH hospital. The journey follows a winding gravel road with many sharp turns, gradually climbing towards the valley above.
• With every 100 feet of ascent, you will witness panoramic views. You can stop at points to see Skardu Valley, the raging Indus River flowing beneath the valley floor, and the mighty Karakoram peaks surrounding the vicinity in every direction.

Afternoon:

• After an hour's drive along the meandering track, you will arrive at Chunda Viewpoint, the highest vantage point overlooking the valley. From here, witness the Karakoram’s grandeurs; beneath these giant mountains lie the verdant villages and towns offering magnificent views. Drink a cup of tea and marvel at the beautiful serenity.
• After spending an hour or two at Chunda Viewpoint, walk past the lush green barley, potato, and wheat fields. Interact with the local community. Observe people working in their fields, either harvesting crops or watering the orchards, depending on the season of your visit.
• Take a short trek from the outskirts of Chunda to Zigzag Place. This area of Chunda Valley is a small meadow where the locals graze their animals. The area is filled with a green carpet of grass, with glacier-fed streams running through its heart, making it an ideal place for photography. It's also very famous among social media influencers. Spend the hour in complete tranquillity and commemorate your Chunda Valley Tour in the peaceful setting of Zigzag Place.
• Continue your Chunda exploration with a short trek to Maltoro Bridge, one of the world’s highest bridges, built between two mountains and soaring above a deep canyon. Feel the adrenaline rush as you cross the bridge. Discover the surrounding areas near Maltoro Bridge before the return journey begins.

Evening:

• After the discovery of Chunda Viewpoint, Chunda village, Zigzag Place, and Maltoro Bridge, the return journey begins. You’ll hike back to the settlement where our driver will be waiting for you.
• Hit the meandering Chunda Road again and return to Skardu. Spend your evening at a local guesthouse, sharing all the beautiful memories you just made from the Chunda Valley Tour.
