Drive to Naran Valley from Islamabad:

The following valleys lies along the road to Naran:

  • Balakot
  • Shogran Valley
  • Kaghan Valley.

The trip to Skardu usually starts from Islamabad via the motorway with the first scenic stop being Naran Valley. This valley is located at a distance of 253 km and it takes roughly about 7 hours to reach by road. Naran valley itself is among the most visited tourist spot in Pakistan.

Drive to Skardu Valley,

Day two of the Skardu Valley tour starts by visiting Lulusar Lake, which is located at an altitude of 3,410 m. The journey then continues towards Babusar Pass, a high-altitude seasonal route that connects to Gilgit-Baltistan. This route opens in the first week of June. It stays accessible until November, but this depends on the snow conditions.

Day three of Skardu Trip starts by visiting the famous Shangrila resort and Lower Kachura Lake. Each of the above destinations are 10 to 15 km away from each other.

Shigar Valley Tour

On day four, we visit the Sarfaranga Cold Desert. Here, guests can enjoy Jeep safaris, horse riding, and paragliding. Further, our guests would be able to visit the historic fort of Shigar Valley built in the 17th century. Shigar Valley is located at a distance of 54 km with a drive time of 1.5 hours from Skardu city.

Deosai National Park, the highest plateau in Pakistan

Deosai National Park is located at a distance of 40 km from Skardu, but the road is unpaved and is rough where only 4X4 vehicles can reach. This Plateau is at an altitude of 4114 m and hold several wildlife including Brown bears, Marmots and ibexes

Bashu valley is another alpine meadow in Skardu which is accessible via 4X4 jeeps

Day 07 and 08, Drive back to Naran and then return to Islamabad
