Mayfung Fire Festival Skardu
The Mayfung Fire Festival is held on the 21st of December to celebrate the end of the harsh winter and the start of the Balti New Year called Losar. It also marks the end of the longest night of the year. Once the night falls, the locals of Baltistan start lighting bonfires, swirl fireballs, dance to local music, and indulge in local sports.
