The Nangma Valley Trek is an easy and rewarding trekking journey deep in the astonishing Karakoram mountains. The trek starts from Kanday village, located near the Hushe region of Ghanche district of Baltistan. The vacinity is renowned for its pinnacle granite walls, vibrant meadows, and is a gateway to some of the famous peaks, including K6 and K7, making it an ideal spot for photographers and rock climbing adventurers.

The Nangma Valley Trekking journey begins from Skardu Valley in a 4x4 Prado. Following the Indus River, passing through Khaplu valley and many other vibrant Baltistan valleys, reaching Kanday village, from where the thrilling journey commence.

Itinerary - Nangma Valley Trek.

  • Day 01 | Arrival in Islamabad City: Arrival at the airport and meet our local guide: Take a ride from the airport and head to the hotel. Spend a free day in Islamabad exploring the beautiful capital of Pakistan.
  • Day 02 | Scenic Flight to Skardu Valley: Experience the most scenic flight in Pakistan. Enjoy an impressive aerial view of the snow-capped peaks and dramatic landscape of Gilgit. Meet our local, professional guide at the airport and travel to the hotel.
  • Day 03 | Move ahead to Khaplu: Enjoy a refreshing early morning in Skardu, amidst the tranquility of the mountains. After enjoying a traditional Balti breakfast full of protein, head towards Khaplu Valley. Following the Indus River, the 3,200 km trans-Himalayan river, which serves as the spine of civilization and which was the base for one of the most famous and ancient civilizations in the Indian-Subcontent ”The Indus Valley Civilization”, you arrive at Khaplu village. The Khaplu Valley acted as the second largest kingdom in Baltistan, ruled by the Yabgo Dynasty, and offers many wonders. Upon arrival at Khaplu, visit the famous Khaplu Palace, the fortress of the Yabgo rulers. Proceed ahead to the Chaq Mosque and learn about the beautiful architecture and wooden carvings of the mosque. After a full day of travel and exploration, enjoy a cozy night's stay at Khaplu Palace.
  • Day 04 | Depart for Kanday and trek Mingulu Brok: Embark on a scenic trek with driving deep to the isolated Kanday Valley. After a bumpy ride in a 4X4 vehicle, begin the trek from the outskirts of the village. The trek continues for 3 hours through alpine setting meadows and alongside glaciated streams before arriving at Mingulu Broq. Spend the night in camps at the Mingulu pasture.
  • Day 06 | Continue onwards from Mingulu Broq to Nangma Valley: Begin your trek early in the morning, taking advantage of the refreshing morning temperature. Arrival at Nangma Valley, passing through vibrant meadows, surrounded by giant granite walls, where a delicious lunch will be waiting for you. On a clearer night, enjoy gazing at the sky full of shining stars and spend another night in tents, recovering for the adventures ahead.
  • Day 07 | Proceed ahead from Nangma Valley to Amin Braq Basecamp: Enjoy an early morning discovery of the vicinity, the time when most of the animals and birds are seen around. Take a look at the scenic Nangma Valley granite pinnacles when the sun casts its first rays over them. After a cheerful morning, trek further deep in the valley to the Amin Broq basecamp (4500 m). Engage with a full day exploration of the region and trek back to Nangma Valley for the night’s stay.
  • Day 08 | Trek back to Kanday and Drive to Khaplu: Before departing for Khaplu, enjoy one last view of the picturesque Nangma granite pinnacles. Trek back to Mingulu Broq following the same trail. Savour a delicious Balti delicacy prepared by our cooks. After a refuel, complete the last section of the trek on reaching Kanday village. Take a ride and continue the journey to Khaplu, where the night will be spent.
  • Day 09 | Journey back to Skardu city: Bid farewell to Khaplu and complete your holiday by visiting the Manthoka Waterfall and Shigar Valley. Enjoy a free day at Sarfaranga Desert, riding jeeps, experiencing paragliding, and horse safaris. Following a day full of sightseeing exploration, head back to Skardu for the night’s stay.
  • Day 10 | Contingency day at Skardu: Taking advantage of a free day, take pleasure in exploring Skardu. Start by visiting the famous Shangrila Resort and the captivating Lower and Upper Kachura Lakes. Soak in the peaceful settings of Soq Valley amidst dense alpine forests and crystal clear rivers flowing downstream. Spent one last night in Skardu.
  • Day 11 | Scenic flight back to Islamabad: After the unforgettable Nangma Valley Trek, take the scenic flight back to Islamabad, rewinding the holiday memories.
  • Day 12 | Fly back home: Conclude the Nangma Valley Trek at the airport and bid farewell to our guides and team members.

Refund Policy :The refund will be processed based on the time of cancellation and services already acquired. A certain amount will be deducted from the payment such as non-refundable amount paid to third parties or amount used in acquisition of trek permits. Read more details at refund policy.

Initial Deposit, Book Now and Pay Later: To confirm the booking an initial deposit is required which is 20 - 25 % of the tour / trek price. The remaining payment can be paid closer to the trek dates or upon arrival in Pakistan.
