Itinerary - Basho Valley Tour

Morning:

The voyage begins with an early departure to Soq Valley. The alpine setting of this small area in Rondu is worth visiting. Explore the beautiful pasture and experience rafting in the turquoise blue river. Enjoying snacks with a warm cup of tea at a riverside restaurant while your feet are immersed in the cold, flowing water is an experience like no other.

After exploring the lovely atmosphere at Soq, begin the thrilling 2-hour drive from Kachura to Basho Valley, where you’ll enjoy adventure at every turn. Upon arrival at the meadow, you’ll find yourself in tranquil alpine scenery where the valley is surrounded by lush green meadows, snow-capped mountains, and rivers flowing nearby.

Afternoon:

As you arrive at Basho, begin your Basho Valley discovery. Hike to the nearby slopes, which are surrounded by century-old pine and oak trees. Stroll further to the Basho Waterfall, a picturesque location with wonderful ambience. Marvel at the untapped beauty adorned by lush green pastures against snow-covered peaks. Enjoy a delicious meal at the riverside restaurant and immerse yourself in the calm surroundings.

Evening:

After a full-day excursion at Basho, hit the gravel road again and drive back to Kachura Valley. Continue the journey and drive past Hoto. After you arrive at Skardu, enjoy the sunset from Katpana Desert, where the dimming sunlight illuminates the surrounding landscape and mountains in a unique vibrant orange colour. Retire for the day and spend your evening in comfort at your local guesthouse.
